Description Hollowford Centre An ideal venue for any residential event, Hollowford is located in the heart of the Peak District National Park. The Centre is surrounded by hills including the famous Shivering Mountain, Mam Tor. Hollowford is located just outside the picturesque village of Castleton, famous for its caverns, Blue John Stone and beautiful surroundings. With a wealth of countryside on your doorstep, the Hollowford Centre naturally provides an excellent base for outdoor programmes. Caves, crags, rivers, limestone dales and rugged gritstone moors are typical of the environment in which we work. It is not only location that makes Hollowford special. The Centre is modern and well equipped, with excellent on-site facilities and we pride ourselves in the safe and professional manner in which activities are delivered. If you want Challenge and Adventure in a safe and stimulating environment, Hollowford is the ideal venue having excellent indoor and outdoor facilities. On-site activities include High and Low Ropes courses, a lagoon for raft building and other water activities, archery and much more. Our modern conference facilities, seating up to 70 people, are fully equipped with flip chart, OHP and digital projection. Being in the heart of the Peak District National Park, outdoor activities such as canoeing, caving, hill walking and rock climbing are all readily accessible. A good mix of activities and review time are used to ensure the learning outcomes are achieved. Training sessions are carefully managed so that the individuals and teams take ownership of the process - individuals are encouraged to have a go, with their teams offering support and encouragement. Whatever the age or background of our clients, we find that time spent reviewing is extremely valuable. Our instructors are not just experts in the outdoors, they are also facilitators who carefully manage group reviews so that learning points are identified and related to the future.
