Formerly 3-star rated, our 37 en suite rooms include many suitable for families.  All offer 20” remote satellite TV’s with full Sky Sports, self setting clock radios, free Wi-Fi, hairdryers, trouser presses, etc – there’s a guests’ ice machine and free book loan from our vast local area library. Food wise we offer one menu served throughout the bar or restaurant (selected Sundays only) – everything’s individually priced (mains from £6.95) so we only offer bed breakfast rates, rather than tying you in to eating 3 courses. We serve from 6.30pm, though there’s pre-theatre dining by arrangement.  As for breakfast, well that’s the most commented upon thing (along with the staff) on our guest feedback forms!  As well as a traditional cooked breakfast, we offer delicious Longley Farm yogurts, fresh pineapple & strawberries, 3 dozen cereals including the full Dorset range, Pollards Coffee (freshly ground to order), over 60 preserves and marmalades to spread on your wholegrain toast and a full range of Jing’s sexy herbal teas! Our CAMRA accredited Real Ale Bar respects the long held tradition that it’s prime role is to serve the finest in alcoholic liquid refreshment!  There’s up to 8 pristinely maintained cask ales (inc 3 local), 6 draught lager (inc Peroni/Budvar/Asahi) all dispensed at optimum temperatures into iced glass.  As for wine, well ours are supplied by none other than Laithwaites (Sunday Times Wine Club, etc) and priced to offer extraordinary value given the quality in comparison to most places – we even offer 18 by the glass! We’re family friendly as quite a few of our rooms sleep 3 or 4 (or even 5 if you’re prepared to top n tail) or we can offer a pair of adjacent double & twin rooms by negotiation - plus a Kiddie’s Menu, high chairs, travel cots and guest-monitored baby listening.  We’re also pet friendly with dogs being welcome in the bar as well as rooms (we even dog-sit regular visiting pooches) and finally we’re gay friendly (gay poodles too!). Our unique ‘non-straight jacketed’ style is based on the simple ethos that happy staff = happy guests.
